Three-year Acting Course The three acting course prepares professional actors in the DRAMATIC ART sector, a professional figure intended to work specifically in the field of prose theatre, cinema, television, radio, dubbing with particular attention to the foreign market. Students who have graduated with a diploma will be able, at the end of the three-year studying course, to embark on a professional career in theatre and cinema as well as reach an artistic awareness and excellent technical skills. The three-year program provides the teaching of specialized disciplines (study of diction, voice, singing, body movements, acting and other disciplines strictly related to the professional outgoing figure) and the teaching of a series of basic skills related to other forms of show business, inherent, to a broader conception of theatre: musical theatre, movement theatre, theatre in English, storytelling theatre, the criticism of the show. Such expanded disciplines offer versatility, the acquired skills can also be transmitted to other sectors, reinforcing the specific targets of the three-year period course that remains, however, focused on the professional field of the prose theatre. The learning process refers to the most important methodologies of the 900’ and contemporary theatre. The program develops during the three year period in a progressive, interdisciplinary and guided way. Each module is carried out by different teachers who can: · Work jointly with programs which are coordinated at an interdisciplinary level. · Work separately with coordinated programs at an interdisciplinary level but with jointed evaluations. The dynamic of the stage action is object of study through practical and theoretical experiences which are not uniform but highly oriented to activate in students the creative and technical awareness of the professional actor. Since the process is strongly optimized by interdisciplinarity and the coordination of different programs in the choice of contents, methods, teaching strategies etc., the work and the concentration of the student do not dissipate and can be assimilated and highly efficient. Actor’s art knowledge is derived from the effective experience lived by the student on his/her own skin at the end of the three-year acting program: methods and teachings do not represent the sum of different points of views but they are the result of a journey, an exploration aimed at increasing the creative autonomy in students. It differs to meet up: acting and studying the theatrical action, its peculiarities and its own laws.
