EUTHECA – The European Union Academy of Theatre and Cinema offers those interested in entering the world of Theatre and Cinema highly specialized training experiences and is a LAMDA Examinations (the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) Private Centre. EUTHECA is the only institution in Italy which offers those interested in entering the world of cinema and theatre the possibility to take advantage of professional training experiences in Rome which are recognized all over Europe and abroad. EUTHECA is the only institution in Italy which offers students the possibility to take part in special acting courses which are held in English to give them the possibility to make an international career in the world of theatre and cinema. EUTHECA is the current seat of an internationally renowned repertory company and its theatre. We select students from all over the world offering them the opportunity to take part in prestigious artistic and training experiences which compete with those offered by the most acclaimed European institutions. As an active member of the ERASMUS programme, EUTHECA gives students the possibility to take advantage of International training experiences, as well as to conclude their studies abroad (at the end of the three-year course) at partner institutions which are situated all over Europe. The three-year Acting Course, which has a mandatory attendance policy (8 hours a day), ends with the award of Eutheca’s Diploma. Students may also choose to undertake an additional qualification awarded by LAMDA Examinations (the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art). Detailed information about the university validation through BA will be published as soon as the specific procedure will be legally recognized. The three-year Acting Course is aimed at giving those interested in making a professional career in the world of cinema and theatre artistic awareness and high-quality technical abilities, as well as excellent training experiences in Rome. Students will have the opportunity to take part in plenty of specific courses, such as diction, voice, singing, scenic movement and further important subjects. The teaching programme revolves around the most important techniques of the theatre of 1900 and the contemporary theatre. Apart from the basic subjects, the courses include: · work experiences and extracurricular laboratories with internationally renowned teachers · exchanges with Eutheca partner schools (Erasmus) · from the second year, work experiences with renowned Theatre and Cinema professional Actors Attendance is mandatory from Monday to Friday (sometimes on Saturdays and Sundays too) for 8 hours a day. The Academic Year starts in November and finishes in July. Admission is subject to the candidates satisfying the eligibility norms fixed by the school. It is possible to take part in the admission test through the relevant competition announcements which are regularly published in the proper competition announcements section. |
